It's day 1 of My Creative Time's 65th Edition Sneak Peeks! We've got a very fun release to share with you this week! To start off our sneaks, we have a gorgeous new stamp and die set called Beautiful Day. This is a great set to use for so many occasions!
For my card today, I stamped and die cut all of the pretty poppies from this set and colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. Being a California girl, I'm used to golden poppies, but when I googled them, I discovered they come in red too! They're really pretty! So I made some red ones. Of course, my poppies needed some kind of container, and the mason jar from the My Thoughts are With You set was just perfect. I die cut it out of vellum, stamping it with Stazon ink, and then I colored on some "water" with one of the Zig pens. I added an extra poppy at the base of the jar, like it had fallen off its stem, as another place to hide adhesive behind the vellum, in addition to behind the two flowers at the top of the jar.
The textured background was made with Papertrey Ink's Woodgrain Impression Plate, and when I ran it through the Vagabond, I left a bit of the bottom clear for my sentiment, which is also from Beautiful Day. A little PTI Rustic Jute Button Twine neatly covered the line where the textured area met up with the non textured section.
