MCT 57th Edition Sneak Peek #1

It's day 1 of My Creative Time's 57th Edition Sneak Peeks!  We've got a very fun release to share with you this week, and to start it off, we are sneaking our freebie stamp set that you will love!  It's called Card Borders, and it includes four darling stamp borders.  This set will be free to the first 100 shoppers this Friday beginning at 8 AM PST!

I'm always in need of thank you notes, and I thought that Card Borders would add the perfect touch to some simple cards.  For each one I started with an A2 size card base and a white rectangle cut with the largest of the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies.  I also used the "thank you" sentiment from Window Sentiments & Flowers.  For this one I stamped one of the border stamps in three different Hero Arts Shadow Ink colors:  Stone Wash, Cornflower, and Soft Sky.  This border reminded me of waves, so I added a cute whale stamp from Lost at Sea, along with a few Papertrey Ink Rainstones.

For this next card, I used the adorable little coffee cup stamp from You are Perk-fect.  I love how the heart border looks with it!  I masked off part of the border stamp to make it just the right length for this card.

And for the final card, I again masked off part of the border.  This time I used a stamp from Window Sentiments & Flowers, coloring it with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.

  17. What great cards you made, and I love the idea of using the borders to make simple cards like those you did - and your timing couldn't be better; I had promised to make a set of ocean-themed cards for a guy I know and was struggling how to do a 'male' kind of card but this is a perfect idea!!! TFS!!!
