Several of the boys in my class had birthdays over winter break, so I had a few cards to make. This is one of them, for a boy who likes dogs. I used two of the dog dies from My Creative Time's Loyal Friends, giving them party hats with the Fun Tweet Me Dies and coordinating Tweet Me stamps. The fire hydrant is from the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge, and I added some balloons from MCT's Best Bots Forever. The whole scene is mounted on a die cut made with one of MCT's Stitched Postage Frame Dies, which is in turn mounted on a piece of patterned paper that was cut with one of the MORE Stitched Rectangular Dies. The sentiment is from MCT's Live Love Bark.
I drew the "street" with an Inktense pencil (the postage stamp layer is cut out of Strathmore Bristol paper, so that the pencil could be easily blended with water). The party hats are colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.

The dogs are too darling. I bet the boys will like their birthday cards. What do you do about the kids that have birthdays during the summer? Do you still mail them something so they are not left out?
