Are you ready for another fun day of My Creative Time sneak peeks? Today there are two new sets being sneaked, and I used one of them for my little ornament. Carved Heart is a darling set! It comes with the large die that I used for the base of my ornament and the coordinating woodgrain stamp! I used cream cardstock with brown ink. You can't tell in this photo, but I also used the die to make a second layer out of a Papertrey Ink coaster to give it thickness, and a third layer, for the back, out of red DCWV canvas. I used the same red canvas with three of the seven smaller heart dies included in Carved Heart to make my trio of red hearts.
The cute little puppy was made with a die from Loyal Friends. I used a stamp from Christmas Doggy and fussy cut it to get his little Santa hat. The new revised version of Christms Doggy & More (linked below) actually contains dies of both the Santa hat and the dog, so if you don't have either of the sets I mentioned, you can get everything together with that set.
Lastly, I made a tag using dies from Holiday Tags and stamped a sentiment from Mixed Holiday Sentiments. I love how this set, which will be great for Valentine's Day, also worked perfectly for a Christmas ornament!
