I'm slowly making my way through Online Card Classes' Clean & Simple 4 class. This birthday card I made for my mom is inspired by one made by Karolyn Loncon in the class. It was a fun technique, called velveteen stamping. I stamped My Creative Time's Grainy Wood Background on white cardstock with Hero Art's White Unicorn Pigment Ink. Once it dried, I stamped the butterflies from Papertrey Ink's With Sympathy stamp set using some PTI ink. Because PTI is a hybrid ink, the woodgrain pattern shows through. I love that effect!
Then I masked off the butterflies with masks I made with some Inkadinkado masking paper and stamped stamps from PTI's Lovely Leaves. The sentiment is from MCT's Celebrate Good Times. Some machine stitching and Glam Rocks (haven't used those for a LONG time) finished it off!
