Welcome to the My Creative Time "Head of the Class" Blog Hop! Surprise! We've got a fun little mini release happening today! If you just happened upon my blog, you are going to want to head over to Emma's to check out her video about all of the new products!
I made two projects today. For the first one, I designed a "welcome back" postcard to mail out to my new students a few days before school begins. Now that I've got this first one made, I'll make the other 20 I need "assembly line style" in my free time over then next week. These adorable new stamps and dies arrived just in time! My white base is a 4 1/4" square, and the cork paper, from Simple Stories 24/Seven line, is a 4" square.
All of the dies I used on this postcard are from the new Love to Learn set. I just love the detail on the apple, with the stitching and the cut line on the leaf! And isn't the little name tag adorable? It comes with that coordinating rounded rectangle stamp, which I stamped with tide pool ink. The "3rd grader" stamp is from a new stamp set called Write On, which is filled with tons of great school sentiments. "Hello" is another die.
How cute is that pencil die? It's made up of 5 little dies, so you can really layer it up! And I love the teeny little cursive sentiment die cut!
My next project is something I made for my classroom. I have a system in which my students, whose desks are arranged into five "tables," earn table points for good behavior. At the end of each week, I will transfer the points to this chart, and once all of the table reach each number, we'll have a class party! My supply of My Creative Time goodies made my chart look particularly cute this year!
I cut the heading with my Silhouette.
Then I added lots of stars made with the 3 Star Stitched Dies. I stamped them with the coordinating patterns from You are Fabulous, using Versamark ink on all of them to make the process go faster.
I usually handwrite the numbers, but this year I have the new Alpha Pack, which has the perfect number stamps! For my target numbers, I cut circles with the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies, added another star in the center, and then added a number from the new Number Fun Dies + Add Ons. I love these dies, and they are the perfect size to coordinate with the Lowercase Fun Dies!
Lastly, on the bottom of the chart, I used the new Uppercase Fun Dies, our existing Lowercase Fun Dies, the number dies again, and the little star dies from 4x4 Journal Die + More.
Here's a look at all of the new products, which are available in the My Creative Time store now!
