MCT Whatever Wednesday

It's Whatever Wednesday with My Creative Time - a day to pull out your MCT stamps and dies and just make whatever you want!  I needed to make a thank you note for my sister, and since she has bowls and jars of shells all over her house during the summer, this idea came to me.

My kraft card base is 3 3/4" x 4 1/4", and the striped layer, from Fancy Pants' Beach Bum collection, is cut at 3 1/2" x 4 1/4".  I trimmed the cream layer with one of the dies from MCT's Fun Stitched Edges Dies.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tag Greetings.

I die cut the shells and sea stars from Surf's Up out of white cardstock and then inked them up using different Tim Holtz distress inks.  I just love the Stitched Chunky Jar Dies, and the bigger jar was perfect for this card, cut out of clear cardstock.  By keeping one sea star out of the jar, I was able to glue down that corner of the jar, along with the top that is under the lid.  That was enough glue to keep the clear cardstock down, and it left no visible glue.

Be sure to stop by Emma's blog to see what she and the rest of the design team have for you today!
