MCT Try Me Tuesday


For today's Try Me Tuesday with My Creative Time, we are making box cards.  Sheri Carroll has a great YouTube video explaining this fun technique, if you would like to give it a try.  It's actually quite easy to do, and the possibilities are endless.  I made one for Valentine's Day earlier this year.  These cards fold flat for mailing.


For my card today, I stamped the front panel with the watercolor background from MCT's Build a Scripty & Watercolor Background.  Then I die cut three of the butterflies from the Pretty Butterflies & Dragonfly Dies.  I love that these dies create stitching on the negative - it adds a lot of interest here, since the actual butterflies are on the inside of the card.  I cut each of the butterflies again out of scraps of patterned paper and stamped the coordinating pattern stamps from Live Love Laugh & Be Happy on them.  Then I adhered them inside of the box card.  This sentiment is also from that stamp set.


The sweet little heart shaped flight trail stamp is also from Live Love Laugh & Be Happy.


"Get Well Soon" is from the new Live Love Bark stamp set.

    OMG....OMG....OMGEEEZE your card is out of bounds gorgeous!! WOW I so love butterflies and you took butterflies to a whole new level of beauty!! You truly did amazing things with Miss Emma's goodies WOW!
    Lucky person who gets your card wow they'll keep it forever and put it on display and it will be the topic of conversation for sure! WOW!!

    What a great shape card and CAS card...I love the watercolor background for the sky. The stitching is so pretty for these window cuts. Beautiful job!
