It's Inspiration Wednesday with My Creative Time and today I have a 3 1/2" x 5" card in which the background was inspired by my design team sister Kim's adorable card that she made for our last blog hop! I love how she took the inside part of the Stitched Honey Comb Die and tessellated them across her card front!
I actually had to do a little extra work on mine, since I wanted to stamp the cute flight pattern from MCT's Live Laugh & Be Happy across the honey comb. I needed it to be flat, so I filled in the empty hexagon spaces with hexagons of a lighter shade of yellow. The adorable bee was cut with a die from the Stitched Bees & Beehive Dies and stamped with coordinating stamps from Bee Happy. I made it in white and yellow and then paper pieced the yellow pieces on the white bee and added some Clear Wink of Stella to the wings.
The cute sentiment is also from Bee Happy, stamped on a banner made with a die from the Vintage Stitched Label Dies.
Be sure to stop by Emma's blog to see what she and the rest of the design team have for you today!

ReplyDeleteHaving added these new dies to my MCT collection, I can fully appreciate the effort involved with creating that background, and it looks fabulous! That in itself is a work of art, but I can't believe you also paper pieced the yellow parts onto the bee! Wow!
