50th Birthday Card

My oldest sister is turning 50 today!  I love using Papertrey Ink's Big Birthday Wishes stamp set for big birthdays.  There are fun sentiments to coordinate with their number dies, but I just cut the number at 1 3/4" from the Cricut Nursery Rhymes cartridge, which is a very similar font.  The sentiment is stamped on a die cut made with one of PTI's Angled Label Dies, and I made my background with the PTI Cover Plate:  Hexagon Die.

I was inspired by a recent card by Jennifer McGuire to make these flowers.  I heat embossed them with Zing White Embossing Powder on vellum and then colored the back of them with Tombow Dual Brush Markers, blending them with my fingers, as Jennifer demonstrated in her video.  After fussing cutting them, I adhered them to my card with Kool Tak Clear Foam Adhesive Pads, which really didn't show up at all!
