It's our last day of sneak peeks for the January My Creative Time release! All of the awesome new stamps and dies you've seen this week go on sale at 8 AM PST tomorrow morning! Today I am showcasing a really fun new die that will let you make a swing card in a snap: the Surprise Pop-Out Card Die!
I used this new die to cut my card out of cream cardstock. Then I ran half of the die through the Vagabond again with the banner paper from Simple Stories Awesome collection for another layer. I cut a rectangle from another piece of Awesome patterned paper and adhered it to the center rectangle. See the cute airplane and heart stitching? Those were made with the "freebie" that you get if you put it an order with My Creative Time this weekend. I just love them! The sentiment is from another new stamp set that works great with the little airplane called Plane & Simple...
Here's how the card looks when you pull it open. The middle section swings around to reveal the back. When the card is closed, it fits into an A2 size envelope. I added a little star in the corner using some paper from the DCWV Gauze Paper Stack and a die from MCT's 3 Star Stitched Dies.
And a closer look at the middle section. The die comes with a rectangle die that cuts out an oval. As you can see, it leaves stitching around the negative. But, it also leaves stitching on the oval, so you are left with a stitched oval that can be used on this project or another one! The sentiment is used here is also from Plane & Simple...
