It's Day 1 of My Creative Time Sneak Peeks and we've got lots of Halloween goodness to share with you, PLUS some super fun chevron stamps! With all of these fun new stamps, I decided to get a jump start on Halloween goodies for my students. Our school instituted a new policy this year stating that teachers can not give out food to students, so I had already ordered trinkets to give out on the various holidays. The cute little box cut by Lori Whitlock that I found in the Silhouette Online Store was just perfect for holding a Halloween eraser. I cut them so that they are about 2 1/4" tall when assembled.
Okay, let's start with the orange one. For this one, I cut and scored the box first, so that I could see where I would be stamping. That adorable ghost is cut with the new Stitched Spooky Ghost Dies and stamped with some patches from Fright Night. I also used part of a sentiment from Fright Night to get "BOO," and the swirls and bats on the back (see pic below) are also from that stamp set. I just love how they look! Those fun square brads are from an old sei collection called eerie alley and tied with hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.
For the box in the center, I started with a rectangle of white cardstock that was going to be big enough for my cut and did my stamping before running it through my Silhouette. I used the new Build a Chevy Background, which is SO MUCH FUN!!! I can definitely see myself using this stamp set all year round. The sentiment in the center is also from Fright Night, and I stamped it upon cardstock cut with the existing MCT Scallop & Stitched Circle Dies.
Lastly, we have our cutie-patootie green bag with the adorable background stamp! Again, I stamped before using my Silhouette, this time using the background stamp from Spooky Starry Night. Don't you just love this one? So stinkin' cute!!! "Trick or Treat" is another keeper from Fright Night. I heat embossed this one with black embossing powder on white cardstock.
So there you have it! Three new stamp sets and 1 new die set, and we're only on day 1!
