Marathon Encouragement Card


Here's a fun card I made for a friend who's training for a marathon.  I'm so inspired by all of her hard work and how she has transformed her lifestyle and her body throughout this journey!


The running shoe and numbers are a cut that I got from the Silhouette Online Store, but I transformed the cut quite a bit in Silhouette Studio.  My friend's running shoes are hot pink with lime green laces, and I wanted to make her paper shoe to match.  However, with this cut, the laces cut the same color as the shoe.  By using the "Edit Points" feature in Silhouette Studio, I was able to rework the lace area of the shoe to remove the laces and add holes instead.  I then added eyelets and some thin green hemp for my own laces.

I aso added some funky stamped "grass" and swirls using the Papertrey Ink Grunge Me stamp set.


For my sentiment, I took stamps from My Creative Time's Life is Good stamp set and curved them when putting them on my acrylic block.  I did the same with the stitched line from MCT's Gift Card Sentiments stamp set to give a nice wavy feel all the way across.

    Katie I'm a runner myself and I'll say this is one of the cutest running cards I've seen out there! I love how you did the grass & sentiment, and my those shoes with the eyelets & laces are just the best!! I'm sure your friend will LOVE this!!

    As a marathon runner myself, I would love this card,and I may have to make my own!! hahahahaha... Great job! New to Cameo, so I need to learn about "edit points" looks like you nailed this one!! Love it!
