Silver Lining

This was a fun card to make, using a technique I saw on Splitcoaststampers.  It's an A2 size card, and I cut a thin layer of cardstock at 5 1/2" x 4".  Using Papertrey Ink's Aqua Mist Pattern Pack, I cut strips of paper in various widths.  I completely covered the thin cardstock with adhesive from my ATG, and then I lay the patterned strips across it diagonally, trimming any excess with my paper trimmer.

Next, I lay the My Creative Time Stitched Cartoon Cloud Dies on the patterned paper and ran them through my Vagabond.  Once the patterned paper was adhered to the card base, the white clouds showed through!  I also used some of the MCT Build a Banner dies to make a sun.

My sentiment is from MCT's More of My Favorite Sayings, stamped on cardstock die cut with one of the new Stitched Square Speech Bubbles.

  1. This is beautiful! I love that the sky is interesting, but not so patterned that it overwhelms the rest of the design :)

    Best crafty wishes!
