MCT Designer Challenge

It's a Designer Challenge Thursday with My Creative Time, and today Leanne is challenging us to make a card off of a sketch, using My Creative Time products.

Here is the sketch.  I'm a very literal person, so my interpretation is not too far off from the sketch, although I did rotate it 90 degrees.  Cool, right?  LOL!  I used my Silhouette Cameo to design and cut a rounded corner card that is 4 1/4" x 5 1/4".  The striped layer is 4" x 5", made with paper from Teresa Collins Summer Stories paper pack.

That cute stitched layer was made with the My Creative Time Stitched Journaling Die.  I love this die, not only for my Project Life, but also for layering on cards!  I used a Cute Flower Pot cut that I found in the Silhouette Online Store and tied a bit of thin hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique around the pot. That sweet little Echo Park bird is another cut from the Silhouette Online Store.

Finally, I stamped a sentiment from MCT's Pain Pain Go Away and added a little machine stitching for a border.

Be sure to stop by My Creative Time to see Leanne's project, along with some more by Emma and the design team.  And go ahead and join in the challenge while you're there!

  2. More great cut files you have found. The pot and bird are too cute. Love the layers and stitching frames it all perfectly. Great job on a card that will surely cheer up someone.
