My niece graduated from junior high last week, and I thought a bright rainbow card would be perfect for her! I love the cards Dawn McVey used for her Papertrey Ink Make it Monday post, so I tried out the technique using lots of My Creative Time products!
I pulled out lots of brightly colored scraps (this is a great way to use some of them up) and cut banners using dies from Chocolate Greetings, Just Simply Live, Build a Banner Kit, and Vintage Stitched Label Dies. Across the top, I added a strip of polka dotted paper trimmed with the ekSuccess Bumpy Roads Edger Punch. I then layered a strip of Limeade Ice cardstock, stamped with a sentiment from Vintage Sentiments. The graduation cap was made with a die from Here's Lookin' at You.
Lastly, I stamped "Class of 2013" using stamps from Follow Your Dreams. I think it turned out to be a pretty happy looking card!
