MCT Thrifty Thursday

It's another Thrifty Thursday with My Creative Time, a day to use up your scraps!  All of the papers I used today are from my scrap drawers, except for the card base.

This card is for my little neighbor Julien, who is turning one on Mother's Day!  His nursery has a turtle theme, and he's having a turtle-themed party, so I just had to use this cut from Create a Critter.  I cut the turtle at 2" and stamped his face with a Peachy Keen stamp.  To add a little interest to the Limeade Ice polka dots on his shell, I stamped that layer with a pattern from My Creative Time's Build a Banner Kit.  I gave him a little party hat that I put together too and added some grass made with the Martha Stewart Icicle Punch.  The sweet sentiment is from MCT's Celebrate Good Times stamp set.

To make my balloons, I used the ornament die from MCT's Warm Holiday Fun.  I think they make the cutest stitched balloons!  I added some Thin Kraft Hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique and tied them to the turtle's tail.

Be sure to stop by My Creative Time to see what Emma and the rest of the design team have to share with you today!
