It's My Creative Time's 3-D Wednesday, and I have some fun St. Patrick's Day treat bags to share with you! I found some chocolate coins in the dollar section at Target, and I thought they would be fun little party favors for the St. Patrick's Day dinner we are having next weekend. Each of these little treat bags holds three coins.
I wanted all eight of my bags to be made from the same paper, but I didn't have enough of any one pattern in my stash. So, I turned to my Cricut Imagine cartridges. I found a green plaid on Imagine More, but when I printed it on white cardstock, it was too dull for what I was looking for (see the rounded square above). So, I experimented by printing the same pattern (in a larger scale) on some bright green American Craft cardstock (seen on the right). The resulting paper on the left was perfect!
My treat bags were made with a cute bag by Lori Whitlock, which I found in the Silhouette Online Store. I attached a couple of little brads and some pretty lime green thin hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.
On the other side of the bag, I stamped "Luck of the Irish" from My Creative Time's I Believe In Leprechauns onto a ticket made with MCT's Stitched Fun Ticket Dies. On top of that I layered a shamrock made with the die from MCT's You're My Pot of Gold. The button, made with MCT's Stitched Button Dies, was cut twice, with a coaster base and the green layer from the scraps from the bags.
