MCT Sneak Peek #1


It's here!  I have been so excited to get my hands on the My Creative Time February Release!  This has to be my most favorite release ever!  Look at all of the fun new products in just this first day of sneak peeks!  For my project today, I made a sweet birthday card for one of my nieces, who loves dogs and is turning 9 in a few weeks.  I used a fun blue background from the Echo Park Splash collection, and the pretty green patterned paper, which I edged with my Martha Stewart Icicle Punch to make some grass, is from  the Echo Park A Walk in the Park collection.


Okay, here is one of my favorite new MCT products!  Isn't this doily gorgeous?  I made it with the new Stitched Doily Die!  I am in love with this beauty!  My adorable puppy and his bone are from a Lori Whitlock cut I found in the Silhouette Store.


Here's another FAVORITE of mine from this release!  Stitched Button Dies!  The possibilities with these are endless!  I made my button "balloons" by cutting each shape twice:  once out of cardstock and once out of a Papertrey Ink coaster, to give them more dimension.  I then used some Thick Hemp Twine from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique to tie them to the bone.  The gorgeous sentiment is from a new MCT stamp set:  More of My Favorite Sayings.  There are so many great sentiments made with all sorts of fun fonts on this set; I know it will be a go-to set for card making.  See the stitched rectangle I used for the sentiment?  I got that from part of another new die that you will be learning more about later in the week.  It was the perfect size for my sentiment!

    Katie, love the cards and new stamps and dies. It must be so much fun to get them "hot off the press"! I am a Cricut user so don't have the benefit of SVGs. etc. I am trying to use more stamps, dies, and Cricut cuts together. I am a retired teacher and love the things you make for your students.
