Spelling Bee Gift Card Holders

This is my third year of being in charge of making gift card holders for the participants of our school spelling bee (each child gets a gift card to a local book store), so I was very happy to have a new bee cut on the Cricut Create a Critter 2 cartridge!  He's made for Valentine's Day, but by keeping him yellow and black, I don't think it's too noticeable.  I cut him at 2 1/4" and added a Peachy Keen face.

For the holder itself, I took some American Crafts kraft cardstock, and I printed a pattern on it from the Cricut Imagine Notebook Doodles cartridge.  I love how it turned out!  When I first received this kraft cardstock in the mail,  I was a little disappointed with how lightly colored it is, but I think it will be great for printing patterns on it!  I then cut the gift card holder with My Creative Time's Embossed Gift Card Holder Die and stamped "Congratulations" from MCT's Gift Card Sentiments.  Since we are the North Stars at my school, I added a star cut with a die from Papertrey Ink's Seeing Stars Dies.  Each participant in the bee was a classroom champ, so I added "#1" from MCT's Sports Sentiments on the star.  These are pretty simple, which is a good thing, since I have 15 more to make!
