My nephew turned 7 over the weekend, and I love making birthday cards for the kids that incorporate their ages! The Cricut Birthday Bash has some fun cuts for that, and you can mix and match the animals and the numbers. For example, this snake cut was originally with an eight.
I also used my Gypsy to make the window in my card. I knew I wanted to use the My Creative Time Stitched Postage Frame Die, so I measured the inside opening and recreated it with a rectangle from Don Juan, which I tilted a bit. I then created another rectangle for my card base. After cutting that, I resized the larger rectangle two more times to create the blue and the patterned layers. All of the adorable patterned paper on this card is from Echo Park's Scoot, which you can find at Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.
I cut my cute snake at 4.5", and the number seven at 3". I used all of the snake's layers except for the eyes, which I replaced with some Imaginisce Glam Rocks.
The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Big Birthday Wishes stamp set, and it's stamped on a banner made with PTI's Double-Ended Banners Die.
To make the inside of my card cute, I took all of the snake cuts and flipped them sideways so that I could make the snake double-sided. I also cut the Stitched Postage Frame Die again and adhered it down before making the snake slither through the window.
