MCT Show Me Your Technique Mini-Hop


It's "Show Me Your Technique" with My Creative Time today, and Liz, Micia, and I have some fun tutorials for you!  I've made window cards before, but I was inspired by a post on Nichole Heady's blog to make one using layered dies.  The My Creative Time Just Tags Dies were perfect for making my window, and the Fly Away with Me dies made the perfect accents!  To see how I put this together, you can watch the video below:




Here's a closer look at the hot air balloon from Fly Away with Me.  I used some of my favorite Simple Stories papers, which Emma is selling in her store (see the links at the bottom of this post)!


I just love the cloud dies, also from Fly Away with Me!


Here's what the card looks like on the inside.  It kind of looks like the sentiment is stamped on the clear window, but that's just a reflection.

  5. I love that you showed your "oops" in the video. It is nice to see how to fix mistakes. I too usually get frustrated and usually throw it away and start over. I love your card.

  7. This is so neat!! I don't have the same supplies, but I think I will try with Spellbinders.

    Just for the record, I am the same as you.....I would have to put the punch there two or the spacing would have driven me nuts!!! Good to know I'm not the only one :)
