MCT November Stamp Release Sneak Peek #2

It's Day 2 of the My Creative Time November Stamp Release Sneak Peeks, and today we are sharing my favorite new dies, the Lowercase Fun Dies!  These are the perfect little letter dies, in just the cutest font!!!  I've gotten a bit addicted to the them, to be honest.  You will be seeing lots of projects with them in the near future!  Today I used them to make a catalogue of all of my stamps.  I have been on Emma's design team from the beginning, so I have two years worth of her stamps!  That is a lot, especially when you are trying to find a specific sentiment!  Luckily, I got a great idea from Christina, from Creations with Christina, about how to make a stamp reference book.  Now all of my stamps are at my fingertips!

I began by taking 2 pieces of chipboard, cut at 5 1/2" x 4 7/8" for the front and back covers.  I covered them with cardstock and patterned paper and then set to work decorating the front cover.  I made the cute little "You can never have too many" with the new My Creative Time Label Font stamps, by stamping black ink on red cardstock!  The word "stamps" was cut with the Lowercase Fun Dies.  I also die cut the stitched heart from 100% Sweetness, stamping it with the Script Type Background.  The pretty red hemp on my button is from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique!

To make myself even more organized, I used a file folder cut from the Silhouette Studio Online Store to make dividers.  On each one I added some patterned paper edged with the ekSuccess Bumpy Roads punch.  I then trimmed some white labels to size so that I could write my categories.

Here's one of the pages inside.  I set up my word processing document in landscape mode and made two columns.  This allowed for four stamp sets per page, which I was then able to cut down to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" sheets.  To get the images, I went to Emma's store, clicked on each set to see a big picture, and then right clicked on it with my mouse.  I could then copy the image and paste it into the word processing document.  Lastly, I used my Cinch to punch the holes in the whole thing.  That part was super easy!  This was time consuming to make, but it is so worth it to have all of my stamps listed in one place!

Be sure to head over to My Creative Time to see what Emma and the rest of the design team have to share with you today!!!

  8. This is a fabulous idea! I usually spend a lot of time shuffling through my huge file of Emma's stamps and dies. I did print pages of the stamps for a check list but they are too small to read the sentiments. This must have taken days to make but the good news is you can easily and quickly add as they become available. Great project!

  21. Katie, had I known organization could be this pretty, perhaps I'd 'be so' more often! Fantastic project! I discovered Emma only this summer, and even in these few months, I think I have nearly two years' worth of her stamps (and dies)! They're wonderful - and you have, once again, showcased them ever so well. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.
