Acorn Embroidery Card

This fun card shape is from the Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge, cut at 5 1/2".  I cut the square cream layer at 5"and the patterned layer at 4 3/4".

I used Silhouette Studio to create a shadow for this cute acorn cut from the Silhouette Online Store.  After running the green base through my Vagabond with the Cuttlebug Polka Dots embossing folder, I used a sewing needle to poke holes around the 2 layers.  I then used some embroidery floss to add my stitching.  A cute button and some fun new thin hemp in kraft from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique was the perfect finishing touch!

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from My Creative Time's Floral Sentiments and added a cute little leaf that I cut with a leaf die from MCT's Piles of Smiles.

Today there is another "Designer's Challenge" on My Creative Time.  Click on the link below to join in the fun!
