Boo Tri-Fold Card

I'm starting in on my Halloween cards, and I couldn't wait to use the cute images on the new Cricut Create a Critter 2 cartridge!  Last year I designed a tri-fold Christmas card using my Gypsy, and I thought it would be fun to modify it for a Halloween card.  You can see my "how to" video here.  I did change the height of the rectangles, so that more of the haunted house would show through.  The rectangle with "boo" on it is 1 1/4" tall, and the one with the ghost is 2 1/4" tall.  My background paper is kraft cardstock from The Paper Studio at Hobby Lobby.  The patterned paper is from the Spooktacular stack from K & Company (last year's release).

"Boo" is cut at 2.79".

I cut the ghost at 3.63".  His hat and patch are one cut, but I couldn't leave the hat black, since it would blend into the house.  So I cut it again in purple, trimming off the patch before adhering it to the black hat.

The haunted house is cut at 6.04".  I did have to flip it to make it line up with the kraft base.  You can see when the card is opened up that the liner, which I cut from the Wild Card cartridge, and the house are essentially adhered to the back of the main kraft card base.

Today is "Show Me Your Technique" on My Creative Time!  Three of my very talented design team sisters have fun tutorials to share with you.  Check it out!
