It's "Show Me Your Technique" with My Creative Time today, and Jeanne, Kim, and I are each sharing something fun with you! I decided to step out of the box with my project and use glitter! Those who know me well know that I don't particularly enjoy the messy side of crafting, so this was really a stretch! I started by cutting a tree at 6" from the Cricut Christmas Solutions cartridge. Before adhering it to my card base, I heat embossed a star from My Creative Time's Warm Holiday Fun stamp set.
Next came the fun part! I die cut some ornaments from the dies that come with Warm Holiday Fun, and then I used The Essential Glue Pad to stamp the coordinating designs across them. I sprinkled glitter onto each ornament, which stuck to the glue design! I then adhered these to the tree.
I heat embossed this perfect sentiment, also from Warm Holiday Fun, on the inside.
To see this technique in action, you can watch the video below:
And below, I have a couple of tags I made for last Christmas using this technique with the MCT All Around Christmas Stamp Set and Scallop & Stitched Circle Dies. You can see the original post here.
Now, be sure to visit Jeanne and Kim's blogs to see their fabulous techniques today!!! Here is our hop line-up:
