80th Birthday Card

Sorry I've been MIA for a little while.  The start of the school year has been a little crazy, but I'm finally feeling I'm getting on top of things and having some crafting time again!

My uncle is turning 80 this Friday, and that definitely calls for a special card!  I made an A2 size (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") card, with a Fine Linen card base.  My Ripe Avocado layer is 4" x 5 1/2", and the cute ruler letter from Echo Park's This & That:  Charming is cut at 3 3/4" x 5 1/2".

To make my birthday tag, I cut a tag using My Creative Time's Tag Dies and then ran it through the Cuttlebug with Papertrey Ink's Woodgrain Impression Plate.  The numbers are cut at 1 3/4" from the Cricut Nursery Rhymes cartridge.  I first cut them in black and decided I didn't like how it looked, but I ended up using that layer with the Fine Linen layer on top, to give it more dimension.  The fun sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Big Birthday Wishes stamp set.  I stamped that onto a ticket shape cut at 1 1/2" from the Art Philosophy cartridge, layered on the coordinating chipboard shape that came with the cartridge.  To top it off, I added a little bit of hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique and a brad from the This & That:  Charming collection.  I thought the old car was the perfect touch!
