New Home Tag

One of my friends just moved into a new house, and I bought her a pretty plant for her backyard.  Of course it needed a pretty tag to go with it, and since I loved the color scheme on the card I made the other day, I just had to use it again!

This tag was a little work, but it was also really fun to make.  I began by cutting two tags from cream cardstock, using the My Creative Time Tag Dies.  Then I taped one of them to the Papertrey Ink Hexagon Die Cover Plate and ran it through my Cuttlebug, cutting the tag into little hexagon pieces.  I adhered the frame to the second tag, stamped each of the hexagons with a polka dot pattern from PTI's Happy Hexagons Stamp Set, and then adhered them to the tag.  I not only love the look of this, but it feels really cool too!  Lots of texture!

For the top of my tag, I attached an oversized eyelet and used some pretty seam binding and hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.  I couldn't believe how well the colors coordinated!

Next I cut a little green flag and stamped on it my sentiment and the wagon from MCT's Home Sewn Stamp Set.  I colored the wagon handle with a black Copic marker and added some cute metal elements from my stash.  I then stamped the house on cream cardstock and cut it out.  I also stamped the house and the wagon on the grid patterned paper and cut out parts of them to adhere to the originals.
