Welcome to the June My Creative Time Release Hop! This is such a great release, full of summer fun! If you just happened upon here, be sure to start at Emma's blog, for her video and the beginning of the hop!
I used all three of the coordinating sets for my card today. The card is sized for a small business envelope, at 6 1/4" x 3 1/2". I used my sewing machine to add some stitching to the patterned paper layer and then distressed the edges of this layer and the rust colored one before adhering them to the card base.
I am in love with the stitched cloud dies from the Fly Away With Me Dies set! I know these are dies that I will be turning to time and again. The sentiment comes from Fly Away With Me Sentiments. This is a very fun "mix and match" set with endless possibilities!
Here's the second part of the sentiment, stamped onto the banner dies that are included in Fly Away With Me Sentiments. Before adhering the map paper to my card base, I had also stitched a little "string" to attach the banner to my airplane.
Isn't this airplane adorable? I die cut it in rust for the background and also in the polka-dotted paper. After stamping the airplane image from Fly Away With Me on the polka-dotted paper, I trimmed around the edges, making the rust cut a shadow. I also stamped the airplane one more time on white paper and cut out the windows, adhering them to the plane.
