Sending You Hugs

Sometimes its fun to just play with stamps - no coloring, no die cutting, just stamps.  It's also pretty quick! For this card, I pulled out my Papertrey Ink Background Basics:  Newsprint and Simple Sunflower stamp sets.  To make the background more subtle, I inked it up with Fine Linen ink and stamped it on scratch paper before stamping on my card.  I used the same technique to get the variance of colors on the leaves.

The card is one of the smaller sizes I've been using a lot lately.  The base is from The Paper Company (at Joann's), and is 4 7/8" x 3 1/2".  I cut my white layer at  4 5/8" x 3 1/4" out of white cardstock.  It's a nice size for stamping - not as much space to fill up.  If you look for these little blank cards sets at Joann's, the packaging says 5.25" x 3.625", which is the envelope size.  I didn't see them online.
