It's my brother's birthday, and I thought I'd share the card that I made for him. I tried to keep it manly with the colors and elements I used. Hopefully I pulled it off! The card is made from a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of kraft cardstock, scored at 4 1/4". Down the center, I stamped the Chicken Wire Background from My Creative Time's Spring Chicken Backgrounds stamp set. On top of that I layered a 4 1/4" x 1 1/2" strip of woodgrain patterned paper.
All of the elements on this card are cut from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. The star is cut at 4", and I added a kraft button and twine to the center.
This arrow is cut at 1 1/2", although I did trim a bit off the bottom. To dress it up, I stamped some circles from Papertrey Ink's Grunge Me stamp set.
The tag is cut at 2 1/2", making it just the right size to stamp the background from the coordinating stamp from the Close to My Heart Vintage Stamp set. "HB2U" is from Papertrey Ink's Birthday Bash Sentiments. We'll see how good my brother's texting language skills are!
Here are the products that I used for this card:
What a great manly card, aren't they difficult! Pff it always costs me a lot of effort, but you have done wonders! The chickenwire is very effective!
