I have exciting news! Emma has asked me to stay on for another term on the My Creative Time design team! I have been with Emma from the beginning, and I cannot tell you how much fun it has been. She is so sweet and creative, and her stamps and dies are AWESOME!!!
Emma has asked each of the design team members to write a short bio. If you're already one of my followers, feel free to skip ahead, LOL.
So, a little about me... I am mom to Eric, a sophomore in high school. He is funny and sweet and is constantly introducing me to new music and tips for my iMac and iPhone. He really is at a great age, and I so enjoy my time with him. I'm also a teacher of a 2nd/3rd grade class in a public elementary school in the San Francisco Bay Area. I love my job; every day is different and fun. I also try, every day, to make time for papercrafting. I've been cardmaking and scrapbooking for 2 1/2 years, and it's definitely become an addiction! Pulling out the stamps, dies, Gypsy, Imagine, or my new Expression 2 keeps me sane! Most of my projects have a purpose; I don't have a huge stash of cards at home. I love seeing the reaction from people when they get something homemade from me.
So, today's project is for a baby shower. This is an A2 sized card, and I embossed the blue layer with a woodgrain impression plate. The crib is cut at 3 3/4" from the Cricut Baby Steps cartridge. The cute little stacking toy, also from Baby Steps, is cut at 1 1/2".
I wanted to make a banner hanging from the crib using Emma's Build a Banner Kit. The pennants were too long for my crib, so I just trimmed off the top of each one after die cutting. They are stamped with an adorable houndstooth stamp that comes in the kit. I popped up both the pennants and the circles, which are stamped with letters from My Creative Time's Anyday Bingo & Crossword stamp set.
On the inside, I stamped a darling sentiment from Emma's All Star Baby stamp set. Be sure to stop by My Creative Time to meet the rest of the design team!!!
