In honor of Thanksgiving tomorrow, I just wanted to share a card that I originally posted on the Everyday Cricut blog when I was guest designing there in August. This is an A2 size card, so I began with an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of brown cardstock, scored at 4 1/4". The cream layer is 4" x 5 1/4".
I made this gorgeous background paper on my Imagine! I took a 6" square of orange wood grain paper from my stash, and I printed the Thanksgiving collage from the Word Collage Cricut cartridge in brown ink on it. I printed it at 4.7", and then I cut the paper at 3 3/4" x 5". I really love this look! To see how to do this, you can watch my video in which I used this same Word Collage print on a wall hanging.
Next I cut three leaves from the Art Philsophy Cricut cartridge at 2" each. Remember, the Art Philosophy cartridge, from Close to my Heart, comes with coordinating stamps. The stamp packaging lists what size to cut the shapes with the Cricut to be able to use the stamps with them. I wasn't sure how the leaf stamp would turn out heat embossed because of the fine detail, but it turned out to be gorgeous! I heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.

I used the My Creative Time Stitched Oval Die on balsa wood, which cut very well! I was even able to use my Crop-a-dile on it to punch holes for my brads. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Mixed Holiday Sentiments.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday (with maybe some Black Friday shopping thrown in) with your families!
