I do love to pull out my Papertrey Ink stamps, but for my Creative Critterz Imaginations design team project today, I thought it would be fun to stamp on something other than plain paper. Instead, I printed a vintage map pattern on my Imagine, and stamped some wildflowers on top of it.

I began by going to my Vintage Papers cartridge and caching the map pattern and a dark brown marble pattern. Then I switched to the Imagine More Cards cartridge. I chose the card on the top of page 10, and set it to separate the layers. For the base layer, I chose it twice at 4.2", once not filled with any pattern or color, and once filled with the brown pattern. I cut these on Kraft cardstock.

Next I filled the oval pattern with the map pattern and cut it, also at 4.2". For my orange layer, I "cut only" the oval again at 4.8", using some orange cardstock. I ran this oval through my Cuttlebug.
Lastly, I stamped my wildflowers and sentiment, popped up my layers with foam adhesive squares, and stitched around the edges. The two parts of my card are connected with a brad, allowing the card to swivel open.
Be sure to stop by Creative Critterz Imaginations to see what the rest of the designers have been working on lately!

ReplyDeleteOh how awesome is this. I got lost when you began by going to my Vintage Papers cartridge and caching the map pattern and a dark brown marble pattern. Then I switched to the Imagine More Cards cartridge. I have heard of the caching but have never tired it. Maybe someday you can explain it to me.. What a beautiful card Katie. hugs
