Race for a Cure Blog Hop!



Good morning! Today Emma and her My Creative Time Design Team are having a hop for breast cancer awareness. We are showcasing My Creative Time’s “Race for a Cure” stamp set. This hop has special meaning to me, as my cousin Mary lost her 8 year battle to breast cancer three years ago. She was not just a cousin, but a friend, coworker, and godmother to my son, and she left behind a wonderful husband and three school-aged children.


Mary is never far from our minds, and this summer her daughter, husband, and sister will once again do the Avon 2-Day Walk to raise money for breast cancer research. I thought that this card would be a great encouragement to send to one of them before the walk. Don’t you love these shoes? I really want a REAL pair for me! I cut them from Groovy Times at 3”.


My background paper was printed from the Better Together Imagine cartridge. Both the “Race for a Cure” stamp and the ribbon are from Emma’s stamp set.

8 ½” x 5 ½” Papertrey Ink Berry Sorbet Cardstock, scored at 4 ¼”
4” x 5 ¼” Papertrey Ink True Black Cardstock
